“So, how did you get into doing hair?”
“Honestly? I just loved working with people. It’s interactive, it’s creative, and it felt natural to me. And it’s fun doing something you’re really good at… especially when it makes someone happy.”
“What’s your approach to hair? How do you decide what works best?”
“For me it’s about balance. Finding what’s realistic for your lifestyle, maintenance, budget, and taste. I ask a lot of questions. Not to quiz you, but to understand what actually fits you, not just reproducing an inspiration photo.”
“What’s your approach to hair? How do you decide what works best?”
“For me it’s about balance — finding what’s realistic for your lifestyle, maintenance, budget, and taste. I ask a lot of questions. Not to quiz you, but to understand what actually fits you, not just what looks good in a photo.”
“Your menu is so simple — was that intentional?”
“Totally. I get choice paralysis too. When I see twenty options, I freeze. I know clients feel this too, plus they’re afraid of booking the wrong service. I wanted the experience to be simple and easy, starting with the booking process.
“The space feels so calm. What inspired it?”
“I like a clean aesthetic, nothing too cluttered. I also absolutely love plants. I tried to keep things clean, natural… I owe a lot to my designer Tyler of Tyler Printess Design, he helped bring the vision to life.”
“You seem really calm behind the chair.”
“That’s what people say! I’m just a very relaxed person. I know everything will work out- it usually does for me. Maybe its because I know that, I’m patient? I just take it a day at a time. I control what I can and try my best.”
“Why no tipping? People must still try!”
“All the time! I built my prices to include everything- tax, treatments, hospitality. Still, when clients insist, it’s a huge compliment. It tells me the experience felt worth more, and I love that. But my vision is “simplicity”…no add-ons, no stress, just good hair.”
“What kind of client fits best here?”
“Anyone who values experience and transparency.. Some clients arrive knowing exactly what they want, others have no idea…either way, my job is to guide, not overwhelm. You can trust me to figure it out with you.”
“What kind of experience do you want clients to have here?”
“Relaxed. Taken care of. Like you’re hanging out. I want you to feel like everything’s handled- you just sit, sip something, chit chat… read a magazine, listen to some bossa nova and enjoy the process.”
“Why did you open your own studio?”
”It was time for me. I started this career immediately out of highschool. It’s been my only job since I was 18. I left my previous position of 10 years for this, because I wanted to provide more for my clients- there isn’t an experience quite like the one I’ve curated.”
“What’s next for you and CORDEIROstyling?”
“Growth — more clients, more assistants, maybe even more days open…but always the same focus: connection, calm, and care. As long as I’m creating and welcoming people in, I’m happy.”
